Getting started
How does the free trial work?

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A card is required to start, but you won't be charged until day 15 — cancel anytime before then and you won't pay anything.

I didn't get my confirmation email — what do I do?

Check your spam folder first, or use the "Resend email" button on the verification page. The confirmation link expires after 1 hour, so request a new one if it's timed out.

Connecting your locks
Which lock brands does dryn support?

TTLock is supported today, with more lock brands planned.

How do I connect my locks to dryn?

Sign in to dryn using the same email address as your TTLock account. Once connected, your locks appear in dryn automatically — there's no need to add them manually.

Why does dryn say a gateway is required for some actions?

A gateway is what allows a lock to be managed remotely — sending or revoking a PIN, or unlocking from the dryn dashboard. Without one connected, those actions aren't available until someone opens the TTLock app near the lock.

Where do my lock names come from?

dryn shows the friendly name you've already set for the lock in TTLock, and keeps it up to date automatically. You can also refresh a lock's name manually from its detail page.

Access codes (PINs)
How do PIN codes work?

A PIN you create in dryn is sent directly to the lock (with a gateway connected) and works immediately. You can choose your own digits or let dryn generate one. Codes can be permanent, with no end date, or time-limited with a start and end date you set.

What happens when I delete a PIN code?

It's removed from the lock immediately — it stops working straight away. If removing it from the physical lock ever fails, dryn tells you clearly and keeps the code listed as active, so you're never left thinking a code is gone when it isn't.

Can anyone see my PIN codes in dryn?

Codes are hidden by default in your Access Codes list — you (or anyone with access to your account) need to tap the eye icon to reveal one.

Cards and fingerprints
Can I add fobs or fingerprints to a lock remotely?

No — cards and fingerprints must be enrolled physically at the lock. Once enrolled, dryn can list them and remotely revoke access, the same way it does for a PIN.

Activity log
How quickly do events show up in my Activity Log?

Physical access — a PIN, fingerprint, or card used at the lock — appears within seconds. Remote or app-based unlocks can take up to an hour to appear on their own, or you can use the Sync button on that lock's page to bring in the latest activity right away.

Why don't I see the event that just happened?

The Activity Log doesn't refresh automatically — refresh the page manually to see the latest events.

Why is the time shown different from my clock?

Times in dryn are shown in UTC. During UK British Summer Time, that's 1 hour behind your local clock — for example, a lock opened at 21:07 BST shows as 20:07 in dryn.

My gateway went offline — did I lose any access events?

No — nothing is lost. Events that happen while your gateway is offline appear in dryn automatically once it reconnects.

Can I export my Activity Log?

Yes — use the Export button to download a CSV for whichever date range and filters you currently have applied.

Tenants and access
How do I give a tenant access?

Invite them by email from within dryn. They receive one email with a working sign-in link — clicking it signs them in and requires them to set a password before they can see anything in their portal.

Can a tenant see my dashboard, or another tenant's information?

No. Tenants only ever see their own portal — a landlord or manager account can never land inside a tenant's view, and a tenant can never see anyone else's access.

What happens when I remove a tenant's access?

Every active PIN, card, and fingerprint they hold is revoked immediately, across every lock they had access to — not just their current space.

Billing and pricing
Will I be charged more as tenants come and go through my units over the years?

No — never. dryn bills per lock connected, not per person. Whether a unit has one long-term tenant for five years or a new tenant every month, the lock behind that door is what's billed, and that doesn't change. Every account includes unlimited tenants at no extra cost.

How is my monthly bill worked out?

Per lock connected, billed monthly for every customer. The rate is graduated — the more locks on your account, the lower the rate on each additional one: £3.20 for your first 10 locks, £2.60 for locks 11–100, then £2.00 for every lock after that.

Is there a minimum monthly fee?

Yes — £15/month per account regardless of lock count (£180/year if paying monthly). If you'd rather pay that minimum fee annually, it's £144/year instead (equivalent to £12/month) — a 20% saving. This is the only part of your bill affected by choosing annual or monthly; the per-lock rate above is the same either way.

Deleting things
What happens if I delete a property, building, or space?

If anything active still exists underneath it — a building with active spaces, or a space with an assigned lock or tenant — dryn won't let you delete it until those are dealt with first. If something is deleted by mistake, contact us and we can help restore it.
